In a victory for besieged U.S. creatine producers, the department of Commerce preliminarily determined today that Chinese manufacturers are dumping creatine into the United States. The Department of Commerce imposed dumping margins of up to 153.7%.

Importers of Chinese creatine must now post a bond to cover the anti-dumping duties imposed buy the Department of Commerce in its final determination expected to be issued in November, 1999.

The finding confirms allegations made by Pfanstiehl Laboratories, Inc. in its antidumping petition filed on February 12, 1999.
