EMT™ Gel is an all-natural gel containing only a natural medical hydrolysate Type I collagen as its active ingredient. Collagen is a fibrous protein found in connective tissue, muscles, skin, bone, ligaments, cartilage thus provideing the matrix for new cell growth. Collagen also acts as a tissue adhesive, helps to prevent bacterial infection, and reduces the potential of scarring. It interacts with the wound site maintaining a moist environment that encourages wound healing. EMT™ Gel is indicated for the management of chronic and acute wounds, traumatic wounds, superficial wounds, burns, skin lesions, other general dermatologic conditions in large and small animals.
EMT™ Gel is an essential part of any first aid kit. EMT™ Gel is easy to handle and conforms to any wound site. EMT™ Gel reduces pain as well as soothing and deodorizing the wound. EMT™ Gel can be used on both large and small animals. EMT™ Gel is safe, non-toxic and non-sensitizing.

EMT™ Gel is designed to enhance the body's own natural healing process. The collagen in EMT Gel interacts with the wound at every stage to reduce pain and promote healing.
When your animal is injured, the first requirement of wound treatment is to stop bleeding. EMT™ Gel works with the blood to form a plug and encourages natural blood clot formation.
Inflammation is the second stage of injury. Treatment of your animal's wound at this stage requires that drainage be controlled and blood flow increased. EMT Gel absorbs the fluids generated by inflammation and provides the proper environment for healing to commence.
During the next stage, it is important to eliminate factors which can interfere with the healing process such as infection. EMT Gel removes bacteria and debris as it absorbs wound fluids. EMT™ Gel also forms a semi-occlusive gelatinous barrier which protects the wound from bacterial invasion as well as keeping the wound moist.
With infection avoided and the wound protected, your animal's damaged flesh will begin to regenerate. EMT Gel provides nutritive protein directly to the wound site as well as providing a cellular matrix for new cell growth.
Once damaged tissue has regenerated it must be strengthened to withstand the stress of movement.
EMT™ Gel continues to provide a protective barrier during this stage of your animal's healing process. This barrier maintains optimum temperature and moisture conditions and prevents contamination of the wound. Tissue remodeling is accelerated and scarring is minimized.
1. Cleanse wound thoroughly with water or saline.
2. Apply EMT™ Gel directly into the wound and onto the surrounding area.
3. If needed, cover wound with a nonstick dressing (Tefla®). Allow to air dry on superficial wounds.
4. Repeat procedure as necessary.
